Holiday Extras Go Glam with Their Third Annual Customer Awards
Published by Johnny on October 20, 2011
Everyone likes a good award ceremony and it was certainly true of the awards ceremony that was held by the travel website Holiday Extras on September 15th this year.
The Holiday Extras Customers Awards 2011 celebrated the best of the travel industry and made sure that those who were given awards were given the recognition that the 66,000 customers who voted for them thought that they deserved.
Everybody likes a bit of glitter and glam and this is what the people who attended the awards ceremony got in abundance. The top people from the travel industry were at the awards and a great night was had by all.
Those who deserved to get the honour of being top in their category were rightly rewarded with the top spot as voted for by the customers of Holidayextras.co.uk.
Here is a list of the top performing people in the travel industry for 2011
- Best Airline: Emirates
- Best Airline Cabin Crew: Emirates
- Best Airline for Value for Money : easyJet
- Best Airport: Belfast International
- Best Airport Car Park: Edinburgh Park and Fly
- Best Airport Hotel: Gatwick Sofitel
- Best Airport Hotel Restaurant: Manchester Premier Inn

- Best Airport Hotel for families: Manchester Premier Inn
- Best Airline for Travelling with Babies: Virgin Atlantic
- Best Airline for Travellers with a Disability: Virgin Atlantic

The organisers behind the event are already looking to next year and are hoping to make next year’s awards even bigger and better (with maybe a little bit more glam thrown in for good measure!). The 2012 awards will have more categories and more people voting. It is hoped that a long standing tradition will start to develop for these prestigious awards.
The power of real life reviews and awards is that you know that it is not an award that has been thought up and given by a bunch of people sat in an office. These awards count as they are voted for by the people who use the service of these companies every single day and that makes them truthful and therefore worth their weight in gold.
The number of people who voted for this year’s awards was just short of triple the number of people who voted for the awards in 2010, so it is clear that the awards are gathering momentum and that they hold importance with the customers of holidayextras.co.uk.
Customers also had the added incentive on being added into a prize draw as a thank you for taking part. The winner was treated to a handy overnight stay at one of a choice of great airport hotels, two weeks’ airport parking, dinner the night before flying and up to three hours relaxing in an airport lounge on the day of departure.
