The gardens, sculptures, and outside seating area make it perfect for your lovely early evening strolls. The enormous cruise ships coming and going adds beauty to the view. There is no other port in Spain which got modernized into such a pleasurable walking space. So, don’t forget to include it in your itinerary.

Art and culture

Since it is the hometown of the renowned painter, Pablo Picasso, Malaga has some of the best galleries in southern Spain. Travelers from around the world can spend a whole weekend looking at some great artworks. The Museo Picasso is the most popular gallery and has a permanent collection of over 200 of Picasso’s works. They have recently added a new collection with some of them rarely seen in public before. Tourists can also explore the remnants of the city’s rich heritage. It is one of the oldest cities in Spain and the Old Town still retains much of its past charms.

Andalusian cuisine

Malaga has a unique gastronomy and the best in the country. Tourists visiting this Spanish gem of a city are welcomed to a huge range of restaurants and tapas bars, offering the best seafood and mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine. If you are in the mood for it, there are also many eateries specializing in the traditional Basque and Navarrese dishes. Malaga also has some of the finest cafes with outstanding cakes and pastries.

The water parks

Malaga is a port city and there is no shortage of fun-filled water activities here. Besides the fabulous beaches and port, there are water parks like Aquavelis, Aqualand, and Aquamijas with beautiful landscapes, attractive water rides, and swimming pools.  Aquavelis has Europe’s highest water slide and it is sure worth a try. Most of the water theme parks include places to eat, large gardens, and picnic areas, making it the ideal place to visit with your family and young ones.
