Life hack number 1. Search for flights on the right website
Of course, you can go to the websites of all possible airlines one by one and check tickets for the desired dates in order to buy cheap tickets. But it doesn’t make sense to waste your time and effort when you can find all possible flight options on one resource. Whether you are searching for cheap first class flights to Paris (PAR) or business class to Barcelona.
Life hack number 2. Buy tickets in advance
Of course sometimes or for some reasons you cannot predict your trip or journey in advance. But flights for the next dates tend to be more expensive. If it is possible to plan a trip in advance, it is better to do so. Try to check them six months in advance. If it doesn’t work out so early, look a month or two ahead and choose the best price.
Also it’s highly recommended to check neighbouring dates. If your trip is not strict to specific days then you may check some days before or after chosen. Sometimes ticket prices may fluctuate from ten to twenty percent depending on a certain date.
Life hack number 3. Choose the right time and day of departure
Summer, school holidays, May holidays and New Year are not the best seasons to buy cheap air tickets. So take into account the seasonality and choose the moment when there are fewer tourists in the country. If you want to pay the minimum, look for flights on less busy and popular dates. And even better – on weekdays.
Life hack number 4. Buy round trip tickets from the same airline
The fact is that airlines strive to complete flights by 100%, and therefore they offer a better price for those who fly round-trip with it. It especially works for international flights, like if you want to get tickets for cheap business class to Europe from the USA.
Life hack number 5. Take advantage of aviation alliances
If you have a difficult trip with many flights, it is better to choose airlines that are part of one of the major alliances. This approach allows passengers to accumulate miles more efficiently, get more directions, and simplify connections. And in the long run – decently save.
Life hack number 6. Participate in bonus programs
Almost every airline has a bonus program that allows you to accumulate miles / points and use discounts. If you have enough miles, you can spend them on a ticket, a business lounge at the airport or an upgrade. Great motivation to fly more often and a nice bonus to travel! Discover bonus or loyalty programs that offer different air companies, learn conditions of miles cumulation and spending on flights.
Life hack number 7. Sales and discounts
It’s really worth monitoring current discounts and upcoming sales. Sign up to receive notifications from airlines and their services about price cuts and sales. There are different discounted offers, for example to buy a business class ticket and get a second one as a gift (on certain days, of course).
Life hack number 8. Use cashback services
Banks, services and websites offer a percentage return on purchases. The money saved can be spent on flights, hotels and tours. It would be a good idea to find out the best deals and benefits that banks could suggest to you. Perhaps you would be offered some special bank card where cashback for some tickets is or some points you could accumulate as well.
Life hack number 9. Newcomers
Another option is newcomers to the flight market. Not having a permanent customer base, they are ready to earn a reputation. That is, to provide discounts and lower prices. This is a chance to fly to the desired destination in business or first class for significantly less money.
Life hack number 10. Buying a “package”.
When travelling to any destination, you will need to live somewhere. Most likely it will be a hotel. And oddly enough, this is another way to snatch a business class ticket at an affordable price. The fact is that there are offers that allow you to save a lot on paying for a ticket and a hotel together. If you don’t like the proposed hotel, book there for just one night, and then change to a more suitable one.
Thus, you see that if you follow some advice and simple life tips you will enjoy comfort and luxury of first and business classes without paying fabulous amounts of money. You would better try a few ones and decide which of them are the most suitable for you personally.
