It’s a well known fact that people love playing casino games. Whether you’re a top poker player or prefer playing lightening roulette on Virgin Games, there’s a casino game for everyone. Nowadays, a lot of our casino game playing is done online. It’s easy to access and there is a whole lot more choice on what games you can play. However, that doesn’t mean that all is lost for the land based casino.

There are some casinos in the world that are as famous as historical landmarks. They attract just as many visitors and can be the sole reason for someone to visit a new country or state.

For the avid gamers out there, visiting one of the most famous casinos is an unforgettable experience. You get to play the best games in some of the best places – and if you win, you have even more to brag about to your friends when you return!

Top casinos in the world

Casino de Monte Carlo – Monte Carlo

One of the oldest and most prestigious casinos in the world is the Casino de Monte Carlo in Monte Carlo. It opened its doors in the mid nineteenth century, in July 1865. This makes it one of the oldest casinos in the world to still be in business.

It’s situated right off the waterfront and has spectacular views of the harbour. The age of this casino means that its architecture is just as interesting as playing inside the casino itself. The idea for this casino originally came from Princess Caroline who was had a keen eye for business.

This casino opens its doors every day at 10am for the slot machine games, and the card gaming tables open at 4pm. So, you can take a wander around the streets of Monaco in the daytime before enjoying a game of poker in the evening – the perfect getaway!

The Venetian – Macau

Macau, home to one of the best bungee jumps in the world, is one of the most popular gaming destinations in the world and has made a name for itself as being home to some of the best casinos. The most popular of these is The Venetian. Similarly to the Casino de Monte Carlo, it is also situated on the waterfront and has wonderful views.

This casino is the second largest in the whole world and even has a replica of St Mark’s Campanile – the original of which you can find in Venice. There are 3,400 slot machines as well as 800 casino tables so you’re always going to find something to play.

Las Vegas, one of the most visited places in the world, is probably the most renowned hotspots around for casinos. Most people visiting travel there with this particular pastime in mind. With so many amazing casinos to choose from, it’s difficult to single out which is the best. But if we have to choose, it’s got to be The Bellagio.

The Bellagio is also a hotel so you don’t even have to go anywhere to get a game in. The fountains outside The Bellagio are some of the most famous in Las Vegas. They hold a nightly show where the fountains themselves perform and are lit up. There is also a pool and a spa where you can relax after a long day of gaming.

There’s an entire water park where you can cool down and relax after a night in the casino. There are countless restaurants and bars for you to visit, each with a different theme and accounting to a different palate. There are fine dining restaurants where you can enjoy the finest foods, as well as restaurants that cater to the whole family.

Marina Bay Sands – Singapore

One of the most impressive casinos in the world is Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Made up of three columns, 57 storeys high, Marina Bay Sands looks out across the marina bay. You can admire the view from the incredible sky deck that looks out across the sea and the city.

Not only is this a casino, but a hotel as well so you can stay and enjoy even more of the fun. There is also a shopping mall and a museum to ensure that everyone is happy. There are world famous chefs cooking in multiple kitchens so you can have a taste of the high life. But if you’re just there for a visit, tourists get in for free – so ensure you bring your passport along to get a free visit.

There are many casinos across the globe that are well worth the visit, but these are some of the best. Whether the main goal of your visit is to go to the casinos, or you’re there for an all encompassing holiday, you’re sure to have an incredible time no matter where you end up.
