Being a VIP player is something that, for some internet casino players, is the pinnacle of their gambling experience (save for winning a progressive jackpot). For others, it is merely a side benefit of gambling online, while for some, VIP rewards can be an unwelcome distraction. Not everybody wants to be a VIP. What if you do, though? What do you have to do to become a VIP player at a leading casino? The criteria are lower than at land-based casinos, but it is still there. Here is what you need to do.

Betting Regularly and Often

Firstly, betting as you see fit will normally qualify you for the lower levels of a loyalty rewards scheme. However, if you wish to grasp the top of that loyalty totem pole, the so-called VIP membership tiers, you’ll need to wager regularly. Betting regularly is not the only thing you’ll need to do, though. You’ll also need to wager sizeable sums. It is important to understand the difference between loyalty and VIP. The latter requires hard work, while the former normally doesn’t.

Maintenance May Be Necessary

VIP casino players may be expected to maintain their VIP status. This means that unlike some loyalty tiers, where you can keep your status once you’ve attained it, VIP members may be required to continue betting to high levels and fulfilling objectives to keep their status. This isn’t the case everywhere, but it is worth noting.

Take Advantage of Promos

Being a VIP player is made easier if you take advantage of promos. If you are the type of casino player who gets inundated with offers and doesn’t take advantage of them, the casino may stop providing you with them. Not taking advantage of offers isn’t cause for losing your VIP status but may negate the entire purpose of being a VIP player.

Success May Be a Factor

At some casinos, success has been known to be a factor. While a small modicum of success will get you up to the VIP tier (as you’ll likely have wagered a fair bit), you may be knocked back a peg if you’re too successful. Some casinos (rogue casinos that we wouldn’t recommend) have been known to alter their VIP program if it has proven to be too beneficial. This is an unfair practice, and we don’t like to see it.

You May Think You’re at the Top, But Maybe Not

You may believe that you are on top of your game – that you should be given an invitation to the VIP club at your casino. You may think that your betting habits entitle you to certain perks that other casino members shouldn’t have. Not necessarily. Many casinos run on networks and have sister sites. It is likely that their members are part of the same VIP scheme that you are. While you may be the top dog at your casino, there could be countless other players who are more highly ranked than you. If you don’t seem to reach the pinnacle and obtain the VIP invitation and red-carpet treatment, it could just be that in the grand scheme of things, you’re just not quite there compared to those players.
