We all know that a Turkey to holiday is always going to be fantastic! People forget just how big and diverse the country is, if you want to experience a cultural holiday then this is the place for you. The same applies to those that want to have one of the best beach holidays ever, Turkey has some of the best beaches out there, they can however sometimes be very crowded indeed because millions of people flock to Turkey each year to experience a beach holiday. I have been so lucky to have visited Turkey 4 times now, this has allowed me to seek out the least crowded beaches, the beaches that allow you some peace and quiet, and allow you to escape the crowds. Holidays to Turkey become truly spectacular when you do not have to fight for a place to lay your towel on the beach, I have made a list of my favourite beaches that will allow you to escape the crowds and experience some hidden gems.

Oludeniz beach, Fethie, Turkey

The stunning beach you will find in Cirali is called Olympus beach, this has been on the backpacker trail for sometime now and is relatively untouched by the throngs of tourists. The beach is three kilometres long and is a protected area because of the fact that it is home to logger head turtles. The turtle’s presence means that this beach is so well kept and clean, it is also a spectacular place to visit because of the scenery that surround the beach. From the sea you will be able to look back at the beach and see that it is framed wither side by two beautiful mountains.

Butterfly Valley

If I had to pick a favourite then this is it, Butterfly Valley is simply spectacular. The beach itself is in-between to huge cliffs. The cliffs on either side add to the romance of this hidden beach. You walk in to the valley between the cliffs and you stumble across a beach that is shaped like a V, it opens out into a beautiful sweeping sandy beach. Most people choose to get to the beach by boat, but for those that are feeling a little bit more energetic and adventurous, there is the option to hike to the beach, The hike will take you around forty minutes each way. You really feel like you have earn your lady day on the beach after you have trekked there, I am sure you will instantly strip off and run into the beautiful clear water to cool down when you arrive. This place is a must visit!

It is amazing that this place is not more crowded, I am stunned that whenever I have visited the place is relaxing and very quiet. The reason I say this is because it is only a short distance for the over crowded beach Olu Deniz. If you don’t like crowds then Gemiler is for you, it is very rarely busy or crowded. The journey there by bus is worth doing for the spectacular scenery, but when you arrive you are presented with a beach that has fantastic food on offer and is surrounded by beautify line and olive trees, what more could you ask for?
