Hey team, as you guys may or may not no, my 2nd last country on my EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD trip was Yemen. There was a war on mainland Yemen, so I spent 4 days on a cargo ship to go to the Yemeni Island of Socotra, becoming the only tourist in Yemen in 2017!
Discovering Socotra
By doing so, I discovered the BEAUTIFUL island of Socotra. Maybe the most magical place on earth, and certainly one of the top 5 places I’ve ever visited. I also discovered that while legally speaking, Socotra is of course Yemen, it lives a life entirely separate from Yemen. Despite the issues on the mainland, Socotra was peaceful, quiet and 100% safe. So much so, that I started organising group tours there so other people could share just how beautiful it was.
I brought over 50 people there across 3 trips (including my mum!), but then COVID hit and i hadn’t been back. Finally, I’m coming back, APRIL 2024! We sold out the same day I released, and now we’re just 2 months away from the trip. Sadly we’ve a group of 5 people cancel, which means I have some spots available last minute. This includes the flight from Abu Dhabi to Socotra, all accommodation, all meals, I do the visa for you guys too. All you have to do is get yourself to Abu Dhabi (or Dubai).
START AND FINISH POINT:
Abu Dhabi, UAE.
You fly into Abu Dhabi on the 8th. And from there you’re in my hands until we get back to Abu Dhabi again on the 16th.

Is it safe to travel to Socotra right now?
Yes! 100%. The world seems to be falling apart right now. But Socotra is a secluded island, in the middle of nowhere. More than that, the flight goes directly from Abu Dhabi to Socotra, so we have nothing to do with crazy issues in the middle east. We have friends on the island right now, and it’s business as normal. Which means gorgeous landscapes, quiet vibes and an untouched island ready to explore!
