Adrenaline Junkies Swear by These Australian Destinations
Australia has become a go-to destination for many adrenaline junkies thanks to its variety of landscapes and activities. Here are a few of the best destinations to head to if you are looking to get your blood pumping.
Table of contents

Sydney
First off, once you are packed, understand the Australian vape laws, and ready to fly, your first point of call should be Sydney. This amazing city is home to a vast amount of adrenaline-pumping activities, and there is definitely something for everyone.
You can climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge, head to the beach for some of the best waves that are ideal for surfing and bodyboarding, or skydive and take in some of the best views of the city.
Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain is a spectacular landscape ideal for exploration. Packed with walking and hiking trails, you can also pull out your mountain bike and go on some spectacular journeys through the forest.
One of the best things to do is to head to one of the many waterfalls and abseil down them, giving you a unique experience that gets you as close to nature and its power as possible.
Ningaloo Reef
No trip to Australia would be complete without some ocean activities. Ningaloo Reef is the cousin of the Great Barrier Reef, but it still offers the same amount of beauty, wildlife, and incredible underwater sights.
The major draw of Ningaloo is that it is the perfect spot to dive and swim with whale sharks. These majestic creatures aren’t the only things you will see, either, but they are most definitely the most breathtaking.

Franklin
The Franklin River acts as the perfect spot for some of the best canoeing and kayaking in the country. Found 2 hours from Hobart, the river runs for over 100kms, and stretches through some of the most scenic forests you have ever seen.
The best part is that this area also doubles as an amazing spot for camping and hiking, with many visitors kayaking a few kilometres, setting up camp, and then doing it again the next day, making their way down the entire river.
Port Lincoln
Once you have seen the whale sharks, you should head to Port Lincoln and spend some time with real sharks. Port Lincoln is home to countless Great White Sharks, and these glorious beasts aren’t shy when it comes to getting up close and personal.
Shark cage diving is common in this area, and you can easily find a company to take you out to them. This is a must-do activity for any visitor to Australia, whether you are there for an adrenaline rush or not.
Cairns
Cairns and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforest have so much to offer adrenaline junkies, you may not know where to start. You can skydive, bungee jump, explore the Great Barrier Reef, and so much more in between.
Beyond the many activities, Cairns and the Gold Coast are among the best places for holidaymakers. It is packed with great restaurants, beautiful beaches, amazing nightclubs, and so much more.
Flinders Ranges
If you want to get deep into the heart of the Outback and see everything this very unique landscape has to offer, then look no further than the Flinders Ranges. The area is said to be at least 600 million years old, and the landscape reflects that.
Perfect for 4×4’ing, you can find yourself at the foot of an ancient mountain, or face-to-face with one of the many creatures that call the area home.
Mount Kosciuszko
It may be surprising to some that Australia is a brilliant destination for snow sports. Mount Kosciuszko is one of the most popular destinations for skiing, snowboarding, and general snow fun.
There are also several towns and resorts for you to stay at, with many equating this area to the brilliant spots you can find in the mountains of Italy or France. Not to mention that in the Summer it becomes a beautiful area for hiking and walking.
Grampians
If you don’t have a problem with heights, and you want to push yourself to the edge both metaphorically and literally, then you need to get to the Grampians. A mixture of a national park and a mountain range, the Grampians will offer you truly unique sights and experiences.
If heights aren’t for you, fear not, as you can still explore the area on foot or on a bike, as there are countless trails for both experienced hikers and first-timers. You can easily find something that will suit your wants and abilities.

Denmark
Finally, found that Denmark is almost 5 hours from Darwin; Denmark is often referred to as the Valley of the Giants. Massive trees can be found absolutely everywhere, and the best way to see them is to head up and go on a skybridge adventure.
With some trees being over 75m high, there is no better way to see them than from above. Again, there are several paths you can find and travel down, allowing you to take in a part of the world that looks like it was dragged out of Jurassic Park.

As you know, blogging changed my life. I left Ireland broke, with no plan, with just a one-way ticket to Thailand
and no money. Since then, I started a blog, then a digital media company, I've made
more than $1,500,000 USD, bought 4 properties and visited (almost) every country in the world. And I did it all from my laptop as I
travel the world and live my dream. I talk about how I did it, and how you can do it too, in my COMPLETELY FREE
Ebook, all 20,000
words or so. Just finish the process by putting in your email below and I'll mail it right out to you immediately. No spam ever too, I promise!
