Jacuzzi Suites Are The Secret Traveler Reset
Traveling is addictive; we all know that.
This is a double-edged sword, however. It can become all too easy to get caught up exploring new cities and booking flights and completely forgetting to take a minute to relax for yourself.
Booking a hotel room with a jacuzzi is one of my favorite hidden gems when I’m in desperate need of a reset while traveling, and this guide will explain exactly why.

The Case for the Reset Trip
Exploring new places and cities is energizing, there is no doubt about that, but there’s only so much walking around and new experiences to try before it catches up with you.
The last thing we want is to be too tired to soak everything in, so choosing to stay a few nights and reset is a great idea.
Why I Choose Jacuzzi Rooms
For my reset trips, I’ve tried beach hammocks, spa days, and even silent retreats. All of them have their place. But nothing compares to checking into a hotel with a hot tub in the room.
Why? Three reasons – and a few bonus ones:
- Privacy and Peace – No crowds, no waiting your turn, no strangers making small talk. Just you (and maybe your partner) soaking away the stress in total comfort.
- Physical Recovery – After weeks of long-haul travel, mountain climbs, or walking 20,000 steps a day in a new city, a hot soak works wonders for sore muscles and stiff joints.
- Mindset Shift – There’s something about sliding into bubbling hot water in your own room that instantly makes you feel like you’ve “made it.” It’s indulgent, but it’s also rewarding – and that’s the point.
- A Break from Routine – Travel days blur together: airports, train stations, hostels. A Jacuzzi suite flips the script, reminding you that travel can be luxurious as well as adventurous.
- Memories That Stick – I barely remember half the overnight buses I’ve taken, but I vividly remember the nights I splurged on a room with a Jacuzzi. They’re the moments that stand out.
Making It Accessible
A lot of people hear “Jacuzzi suite” and think five-star splurge. But the truth is, you can often find surprisingly affordable options if you know where to look.
I’ve booked Jacuzzi rooms for under £100 a night in parts of Eastern Europe, and even in the US, deals pop up if you’re flexible with dates and location. The trick is knowing where to search.
Sites like TubHotels make it simple to filter and find hotels with Jacuzzi in room, whether you’re after budget-friendly indulgence or a once-in-a-lifetime romantic getaway. Having a curated list saves hours of scrolling through booking sites trying to guess which “spa bath” is actually a proper Jacuzzi.
If you treat it like part of your travel plan – not an afterthought – it becomes surprisingly doable.
Building Reset Trips Into Your Travel Lifestyle
Here’s the real game-changer: don’t wait until you’re completely burned out to plan a reset trip. Schedule them just like you would plan an adventure.
- On a long backpacking route: Drop a Jacuzzi stop halfway through, so you don’t drag exhaustion from one country to the next.
- As a digital nomad: Plan a weekend reset every few months, where you ditch the co-working space and give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing.
- After big milestones: Finished a trek, hit a new country, or wrapped up a long project? Celebrate with a Jacuzzi night.
Travel isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon, and reset trips are the water stations along the way. They’re the difference between burning out and sustaining the lifestyle for years.
Final Thoughts
The longer I’ve travelled, the more I’ve realised adventure and rest are two sides of the same coin. Without rest, adventure feels like work. Without adventure, rest feels empty.
That’s why every traveller should embrace the reset trip. For me, that means checking into a Jacuzzi suite, letting the hot water wash away the chaos, and stepping back into the journey with fresh energy.
Trust me: your body – and your passport – will thank you.

As you know, blogging changed my life. I left Ireland broke, with no plan, with just a one-way ticket to Thailand
and no money. Since then, I started a blog, then a digital media company, I've made
more than $1,500,000 USD, bought 4 properties and visited (almost) every country in the world. And I did it all from my laptop as I
travel the world and live my dream. I talk about how I did it, and how you can do it too, in my COMPLETELY FREE
Ebook, all 20,000
words or so. Just finish the process by putting in your email below and I'll mail it right out to you immediately. No spam ever too, I promise!
