Yunnan

Yunnan boasts diverse and beautiful natural scenery. During your Yunnan tours, you will witness majestic canyons, beautiful lakes, towering snow mountains and other rich landscapes.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Located in the northwest of Lijiang City, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is one of the famous snow mountain attractions in Yunnan. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain consists of 13 peaks, with a total length of 75 kilometers. The highest of these peaks is the Shanzidou, which is 5,596 meters above sea level. 

Here observe numerous glacial wonders. Located on the northeastern slope of the main peak, Glacier Park is a typical representative of modern glaciers on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Furthermore, the diverse soil composition of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain supports a rich variety of plant species. During the ascent, hikers can witness the rare flora along the trails.

Tiger Leaping Gorge

Situated between the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the Haba Snow Mountain, the Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest canyons in the world. You can explore different scenery at Upper Tiger Leaping, Middle Tiger Leaping, and Lower Tiger Leaping. 

The Upper Tiger Leaping is the narrowest section of the canyon. The rushing river crashes against the towering cliffs on both sides. The Middle Tiger Leaping is the most thrilling part of the canyon, boasting 18 treacherous beaches. Hike along the trestle to enjoy breathtaking views consisting of canyons, cliffs and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The terrain of Lower Tiger Leaping is relatively gentle. Here admire the magnificent scene of the Jinsha River passing through the gorge.

Erhai Lake

Located in Dali City, Erhai Lake is a famous plateau lake in China. The lake is bordered by Cangshan Mountain in the west and Yu’an Mountain in the east. The surrounding rolling Cangshan Mountain reflects the crystal Erhai Lake, forming a charming landscape. 

Riding in the Erhai Lake is the most popular way to explore the site. Riding along the lake, you can take pictures of the beautiful lake scenery and feel the serene atmosphere. Yuanyang Rice Terraces

Yuanyang Rice Terraces are masterpieces created by the Hani people for generations. The terraced fields reclaimed by the local people change with the topography of the mountains. Yuanyang Rice Terraces are mainly composed of four parts: Doyishu Terraces, Bada Terraces, Laohuizui Terraces, and Qingkou Terraces. 

Hike along the scenic trails and observe the rolling terraces of different shapes. The Laohuizui Terraces Viewing Platform is the best place to watch the sunset over the terraces. Xinjiang

Tianshan Tianchi is half-moon shaped with clear water. This attraction will take you to explore the distinctive and fascinating views of the lake.

Strolling through the forest trails, you can breathe in the fresh air and immerse yourself in the picturesque scenery. Also take a boat trip on the Tianshan Tianchi to admire the charming image of snow mountains reflected in the sparking water. Nalati Grassland

Vast grasslands, flat river valleys and lush forests create the diverse grassland landscape here. And the clear river meanders through the meadow, sparkling in the sunlight.

Bayanbulak Grassland

Bayanbulak Grassland is located in the intermountain basin of Tianshan Mountain, which is the second largest grassland in China. It is surrounded by snow mountains with an average altitude of 2,500 meters. Here enjoy the magnificent picture of rolling green hills and snow peaks. The Kaidu River meanders through the grasslands, while abundant wetlands dot the vast prairie.

Bayanbulak Grassland is also a sanctuary for rare and endangered species. The iconic Swan Lake is China’s largest swan sanctuary, inhabited by nearly 7,000 wild swans. Strolling around the lake, you have the opportunity to capture the vibrant swans playing and feeding in the clear lake.

Flaming Mountains

Flaming Mountains, located in the north-central part of the Turpan Basin, are more than a hundred kilometers of winding red peaks. Through natural weathering, the Flaming Mountains have formed rolling hills and winding gullies. The mountains here are mainly made of red sandstone. Under the strong sunlight, the red sandstone glows, making the mountain look like a flame. 

At the Flaming Mountain Scenic Area, the first thing you see is a huge thermometer showing the surface temperature at that time. This is China’s hottest region, where summer temperatures soar to a scorching 47℃. Then standing at the observation deck, you can capture a panoramic view of the vibrant red mountains. Also Walk around the foothills to observe dry river valleys and canyon landscapes.
