On August 2, 2027, Egypt will be one of the places where travelers can experience a total solar eclipse. If you are interested in astronomy, photography, history, or simple travel experiences, then this could be a great reason to plan a trip to Egypt.
Rather than visiting Egypt only for the eclipse, you can combine the event with a journey along the Nile. A solar eclipse Nile cruise brings together sightseeing, ancient temples, comfortable accommodation, and a chance to watch a rare astronomical event during the same trip.

Why Is The 2027 Solar Eclipse Special?
The August 2, 2027, solar eclipse is a rare event that will be visible across parts of Egypt. The thing that makes it interesting is the setting. Travelers can observe the eclipse while exploring ancient temples and sailing along the Nile.

Total Solar Eclipse Tour: Magic 1 Nile Cruise
This 4-day, 3-night package starts in Aswan on July 30 and will finish in Luxor on August 2, the day of the eclipse. Guests stay aboard the 5-star Magic I Nile cruise.
The itinerary includes sightseeing in Aswan, including the High Dam, the Philae Temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk. During the journey north, travelers will visit Kom Ombo and Edfu. When you arrive at Luxor, you will be able to sightsee Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, followed by a visit to the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple.
This solar eclipse 2027 package will include three nights on the cruise, full-board meals, sightseeing, entrance fees, transfers, and an arranged viewing location for the eclipse. Personal expenses, tipping, optional tours, and extra meals or drinks are not included.
Luxor Eclipse 2027—Magic II Nile Cruise
The second option is a 5-day, 4-night journey from Luxor to Aswan aboard Magic II Nile Cruise.
The trip will begin on July 31, with a visit to Luxor Temple. On August 1, travelers will get an opportunity to explore the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon.
Then, August 2 is the main event. Guests will visit Karnak Temple in the morning and return to the cruise for the eclipse viewing. The totality will last for 6 minutes and 22 seconds in Luxor; after the eclipse, the cruise will continue toward Aswan.
The following days will include visits to Edfu and Kom Ombo before finishing in Aswan with visits to the Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk.

Total Solar Eclipse Journey 2027—Excellence Nile Cruise
Excellence Nile Cruise is designed for travelers who are looking for a more boutique cruise experience. This package will also last for five days and four nights from July 31 to August 4.
The cruise will begin in Luxor, where guests can visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. The following day will include visits to the Valley of the Kings, the Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon.
On August 2, travelers can watch the solar eclipse before sailing towards Aswan. The itinerary then continues to Edfu and Kom Ombo before ending with visits to the Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan.
The package consists of four nights of full-board accommodations, transfers, sightseeing, entrance tickets, guide services, and eclipse viewing. However, international flights and domestic flights, visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses, and tips are not covered.
Which Eclipse Package Fits Your Travel Plan?
The three packages differ mainly in their duration, direction, cruise, and accommodation level. While the Magic 1 Nile Cruise is the shortest one and moves from Aswan to Luxor, concluding on the day of the eclipse, the Magic II Nile Cruise offers one more night and starts from Luxor.
The Excellence package follows a similar Luxor-to-Aswan route but uses a smaller boutique cruise with suites and additional onboard facilities.
Before booking, you should compare the cruise, cabin type, itinerary, inclusions, and cancellation terms. The eclipse takes place on one day, and the cruise space is limited; checking the latest availability and package conditions is especially important.

As you know, blogging changed my life. I left Ireland broke, with no plan, with just a one-way ticket to Thailand
and no money. Since then, I started a blog, then a digital media company, I've made
more than $1,500,000 USD, bought 4 properties and visited (almost) every country in the world. And I did it all from my laptop as I
