As many of you guys know, my mum has Parkinson’s Disease, and has had for over a decade already. She’s fighting hard, and this is part of that.

My mum is back in Europe, training hard. And I’ll meet her, with 16 other friends, next month in Amman, Jordan where we’ll attempt to cycle from Petra to Wadi Rum.

The disease currently has no cure, and even someone as strong as my mum, each year it gets a bit worse. So this will be here biggest challenge yet. We’re aiming to raise $10kUSD for Cure Parkinson’s, and every dollar or pound adds up.

Wrapping up my post-Everest celebrations, and some tips for you guys for Prague, Czech Republic!

HOW WE GOT THERE: I took a train from Bratislava, Slovakia. And for an extra €40 I upgraded us to first class. Highly recommended, complete with champagne and olives 🥂

HOW LONG TO STAY? We did 3 days and 4 nights. It’s my 3rd time in Prague, and I think that this is the sweet spot tbh.

WHERE TO STAY? If you’re on a boozy boys trip, stay somewhere cheap. If you’re on a romantic break, I’d suggest @alchymist_hotel and Spa, Praha Czech. The building is over 500 years old, booking.com score over 9, the most beautiful architecture and the right energy and architecture for Prague. Rooms start around $200. Insane value for such a luxury place.

SIMPLE ITINERARY:
Day 1: Old City stuff
Begin at Prague Castle for stunning views. Explore St. Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, and Charles Bridge. Discover Old Town Square's Astronomical Clock.

Day 2: Art and Unique Experiences
Visit the National Gallery and Jewish Quarter. Experience Wenceslas Square and shop. DO NOT MISS the @originalbeerspa , soaking in hops and barley goodness. It was a really highlight of my trip! Enjoy an evening river cruise.

Day 3: Local Flavors and Nightlife
Morning at Vyšehrad Castle. Savor a Czech lunch in Vinohrady. Explore Letná Park and the metronome. Visit an absinthe bar for a taste of the iconic green spirit. Enjoy Žižkov's vibrant nightlife.

BUDGET?
On a boozy boys low-end trip last time, I spent $100 a day.
This time on a high-end luxury trip with my mrs, it was $150 a day each or so.

TLDR? When in Prague stay at a boutique hotel (not a chain), don’t miss the beer spa, wander the old city. Maximise the experience by using the train to visit nearby countries (for us we did Bratislava, Slovakia and Vienna, Austria).

Luxury on a budget. 4 days in Slovakia and Austria for about $100 a day budget!

I wanted to take my mum and Jaa to 2 new countries for both of them, without breaking the bank, so here's a quick breakdown of how to do that for $100 per day:

WHERE? Bratislava and Vienna

HOW? Ryanair and Wizz Air both fly from around Europe for about $30!

SCHEDULE:
We need 4 nights/3 days. So our schedule was like this:

DAY 1 - Arrive:
Arrive on an evening fligth to Bratislava, $6 uber to hotel. Free glass of Prosecco when you check in to the @hoteldevin so we had that (and then another!) before hitting the sack.

DAY 2 - Bratislava
Lazy morning. Then we took a river cruise on the Danube with Lod.Sk. They run all day, we took the 10.30am.
After that, you disembark RIGHT at a river-beach bar, so Aperol Spritz it was!
Then a DIY walking tour of the beautiful Bratislava old town. Late lunch in the old town square. And dinner on the Hviezdoslavovo námestie boulevard.

DAY 3 - Vienna, Austria Day trip/
Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but also the most expensive. So if you wanna see it, base yourself in Bratislava and take a gorgeous boat ride (90 mins, $50 return) there and back. In Vienna then, do a DIY walking tour but make sure not to miss the home of the Sachertorte too. Delicious. Then boat back to Bratislava for dinner.

DAY 4 - Castles, views and sunset in Slovakia.
Spend the day at both Devin Castle and the icon of Bratislava, Bratislava castle.
Then late afternoon, go up the UFO tower for epic city views.
Finish with dinner and drinks in the beautiful riverside by the Eurovea Embankment. Heaven.

DAY 5 - home/onwards!
My mum on her $30 flight back to the UK. Jaa and I on the 5 hour train to Prague.

TOTAL BUDGET?
$450 per person for 4 days. That is what you call luxury on a budget!

Often renting a car is the best way to see Iceland but it’s very possible to see all the highlights without it. And thats what Jaa and I did.

You can see the main attractions in 2 day trips using Reykjavik as your base, and then one half day to Blue Lagoon too.

For our second day trip, we booked the @headout southern tour, including both of these GORGEOUS waterfalls and also the black beach, and a stop at the North America/Europe tectonic plates.

✈️ HOW? You can fly direct to Bahamas from the US, London, Paris etc. Easy! Then you can take a loooong (and expensive) day trip from there. Or, better, take a 30 min, $100 flight and stay in paradise on Staniel Cay. You can do a half day trip from here!

💰 PRICE? from here, $300. From Nassau, $675. Not cheap but amazing!

🐷 EXPERIENCE? One of the best holiday day-trips of my life! We booked through @3nsstanielcay. I was expecting it to be super busy, and overly touristic but it didn’t feel like that at all tbh. You also get to check out sharks, sand bars, cave swimming. Insane day.

Once I knew my Everest expedition dates, I organised 4 nights at @embracestanielcay on the island and a trip to see the pigs with @3nsstanielcay but I wasn’t expecting this place to be so beautiful!

It’s true Caribbean style, no big resorts, just chill vibes and the best beach I’ve ever seen in my life. Now we have the pigs tomorrow for our last day, one final bucket list before we leave ✌️🤞

1 month ago I stood atop of Mount Everest. Celebrating in the Bahamas and drove across the island to the north of Staniel Cay in the Bahamas. Feels like another planet from cold and wind of Everest ❤️🇧🇸

Staniel Cay is the best hop off point to go and swim with the pigs in the Exhumas, so I never expected to find untouched beaches like this 😍😍

Tips for Stockholm city break:
1) Airport bus is $20 cheaper than airport train!

2) Check out @meatballsforthepeople for your first Swedish meal 🤤

3) Coffee and kanelbullar at Cafe and Bageri Pascal

4) Walk to Monteliusvägen viewpoint

5) then walk for a beer at Stortorget square in Gamlastan

- all doable by foot (15-20k steps), great first day. For dinner we’re going to picnic at one of the parks in Sodermalm. Cheap, lovely, and outdoors ❤️🇸🇪

What’s your Everest?

We dream too small. Know that with sacrifice and commitment, you can do pretty much anything that you see someone else do. Make money online, live your dream life, visit every country, climb the highest mountains. But you have to start. And you should start today.

Someone asked me “What’s your Everest” in 2017. And my answer was Everest. Obviously. To reach that goal, physically, mentally and financially took me 6 years. Nothing worth having comes easy. Suffering and sacrifice are often the most beautiful part of the journey. So stop waiting around for life to be cool. Choose your Everest. Go out and suffer, and sacrifice. Make a true commitment to a huge goal.

And then let’s go get party in Thailand to celebrate. See you there, 6 years from now 🍾🥂🇹🇭

2 weeks on from my expedition, I’m still in recovery mode. Time to go chill. A week of relaxing in the Bahamas is due.

A dream without a plan is just a wish. In life,

A dream without a plan is just a wish.

In life, you have to take action if you want to achieve anything. Climbing Everest, or running marathons at the North Pole, seem impressive to you guys. I know that. And for sure they are tough experiences, but the actual achievement came from the day I committed to the expeditions. That was the key.

After the commitment, the training and the expeditions come naturally. Taking action and committing was the real step forward. It's too easy in the modern world to wait around and hope for things to happen.

So please don't wait around. Life comes and goes fast. Go make yourself proud. Commit to something difficult. Dream big.

On that note, I've now signed up for my last of my 7 summits. Mount Vinson, the highest mountain in Antarctica. I'll be flying to the South Pole to celebrate after.

And with that, all being well, I'll be the only person ever to truly visit every country, reach both poles and climb the real 7 summits.

I’ve been an emotional wreck all week, please indulge me for 1 minute.

My Everest summit is dedicated to 2 groups of people. Bear with me. I tried to touch on it last week but I was so tired at the summit, my mumblings missed the mark and failed to do it justice, so let me try again, having had days to reflect on an emotional journey.

Growing up in a single-mother household, 10 years on welfare, was tough.

Being a young boy without a father is possibly even tougher. One day I’ll tell my story, with my mum’s permission, about my father but at this point let me just say he was a pretty bad guy. But that reality doesn’t determine my future.

So here we are, top of the world, Everest summit.

So I really want to dedicate this climb, the summit, and this journey to 2 sets of people who have it really tough. Single mums who are struggling to stay afloat, to pay the bills, to have no one to turn to when times are difficult AND to the boys growing up with no fathers, no one teaching them how to stand up tall, kick a football or shave their beard. It’s really hard. I know it. 100%. It’s so difficult.

But with the support of each other, with the single parents allowing their kids to dream, in fact forcing them to dream outside of their current circumstances, to know that anything is possible, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t give up. When times are difficult, know that you can come out the other side. You’re not limited by your set-up.

So to the mums, thank you for everything you do for us. It’s a thankless task, but with your hard work and dedication, with your selflessness, it allows us to go on to bigger things. Thank you.

And to the sons without fathers, your genetics don’t define you. You can write your own story. You can be who you want to be. Don’t allow yourself to be a victim, easy excuses are a road to no town. Dream big. Life is out there for us, and you can do anything you set your mind to.

And to my mum, all this is dedicated to you. Thank you mum. You’re the most selfless person I’ve ever met. All my successes are down to you. I love you ❤️

Honestly it’s a lot to process amidst the effort, the tears, the pride and the gratitude.

Before to thank a few people, one thing I want to touch on briefly is the tough job single mothers have in our world. Kid growing up without fathers, mothers struggling day to day to keep the lights on.

Thank you for what you do. Don’t give up on the kid. Don’t let the kid use it as an excuse to limit themselves. Through love and emotional support, the sky is the limit. Maybe even 8848 metres of it ❤️🗻

Prepare to be bombarded with Everest content over the next week or so, sorry!

But a massive thanks to my mum, my wife and my friendship group. And also to @lukasfurtenbach for believing I could do this.
