Blackjack’s Key Locations: Where Offers the Best Experience?

It is a card game that can be enjoyed anywhere in the world. It can be played amidst the glitz and glamour of the Casino de Monte Carlo, or amongst friends at the kitchen table.

Online blackjack can even be enjoyed on the morning commute and there’s hundreds of thousands that enjoy a quick game of 21 on Red Dead Redemption or Grand Theft Auto!

Not all of those places are equal though. Some are great places to play blackjack, and others are in fictional casinos or saloons on video games.

In this article we take a look at some of the best places on the planet to enjoy a game of that old casino favourite – blackjack.

The Casino de Monte Carlo, Monaco

The cat was let somewhat out of the bag when we decided to mention this venue in the very first sentence of this article. Yet there’s no way we could mention gambling without covering the most famous and glamorous casino on the planet.

Established in the 19th century by the Monagesque royal family as a means of bringing in revenues to the principality of Monaco, this casino has long been a regular haunt of the rich and famous. Every years sports stars, movie stars, business moguls and a veritable who’s who step through the doors at Casino de Monte Carlo to place their wagers.

Those modern stars are merely following in the footsteps of the celebrities of yesteryear. Figures such as the revered Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky and legendary British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

If it was good enough for them, then it’s good enough for you right?

The Venetian Macau

The country just to the south of us is fond of myths, particularly those that portray the United States of America as the greatest country in the history of the planet. The American Dream, The Land of the Brave and Free and recently, liberal democracy, are just three examples of overblown myths that the Americans tell themselves.

Another is that their country is the home to gambling and that Las Vegas is the hub of global gambling when, it really isn’t. The home of global gambling is in fact Macau, which is host to a huge number of casinos, the majority of which make Sin City’s look like miniature replicas.

One that really stands out is The Venetian Macau, which is a bigger and much, much better version of its American namesake and one hell of a place to play blackjack.

The Casino de Montreal

We can’t write an article about gambling for a Canadian audience without mentioning the most famous Canadian casino of all. Opened back in 1993, the Casino de Montreal has been amazing domestic and foreign guests for over two decades.

Situated on the St. Lawrence River on Notre Dame island, this casino is a sprawling behemoth. It also plays host to the country’s rich and famous and is not just a great place to play blackjack, it’s also a great place to hunt for autographs!

Your Phone

Personally, I play blackjack for two reasons. The first is to unwind and turn off my brain. The second is because I enjoy the game and the different strategies I can use.

I prefer to play blackjack on my phone and in solitude. It helps me to concentrate and focus when I need to. If reading this, you are totally honest with yourself, you’ll probably realise that your favourite place to play blackjack is on your phone too!
