How a Slingo Game Could Inspire You to Travel the Inca Trail

Playing games to travel the world without leaving home is one of the best ways of finding out about new destinations and working out where you want to go. By looking at the current selection of slingo games, we can see some of the top globe-trotting adventures you might be inspired to look into. So how does the Inca Trail in Peru translate to the world of casino games?

How to Play the Inca Trail

The latest slingo bingo games all have a similar starting point, as this game is based on a mixture between bingo and a slots format. Each of the games is about trying to get as many winning lines as possible, as this is what pushes the player up the leaderboard to where the bigger prizes are sitting. However, the use of many varied themes means that the games all have a different look and feel to each other.

The Slingo Inca Trail title is a good example, as it uses the famous trail to Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of the world, in Peru as its overall theme. With a background showing the giant Inca stones that this civilization somehow slotted into place without the help of modern technology, there’s even a cute llama at the side of the screen to encourage you. The bonus round gives you a chance to take the trail to Machu Picchu itself and grab some treasure once you reach the once-lost city high in the South American mountains.

The Real-Life Adventure

In real life, the way to reach Machu Picchu is by first of all heading to the Peruvian city of Cusco, which sits at almost 3,400 metres of altitude and was once the centre of the Inca Empire, with stone roads leading out across the rest of their vast realm. A hugely attractive destination in its own right, Cusco is perhaps most famous for the iconic 12-angled stone that shows us how the ancient Incan architects were masters at building with giant blocks that were slipped together perfectly.

The Inca Trail featured in the slingo game is the most energetic and time-consuming way to get from Cusco to the ruined city of Machu Picchu. That’s because the challenging trek along this ancient path usually takes four days over diverse terrain and varying altitudes, with the tourists camping at different spots along the way and reaching the Sun Gate on the final day for a wonderful view of the sun rising over the mountains.

There are other options and the majority of tourists take the option that combines bus and train sections from Cusco, which means that they can head to Machu Picchu and return to Cusco the same day if they wish. Either way, it’s an incredible journey filled with terrific sights and unforgettable glimpses of an intriguing ancient culture.

This themed slingo game introduces us to a fascinating destination and could prove to be the ideal way to discover a new place as you play. If you’re looking for somewhere new and exciting to travel to, playing a game like this could prove to be the perfect chance to get inspired.
