Start at Aquaria KLCC
Begin at Aquaria KLCC, beneath the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The main attraction is Malaysia’s longest underwater tunnel, where sharks, rays and turtles swim overhead as you move through on a travelator.
Going in the morning has another advantage: you can spend the hotter part of the day indoors and may beat some of the later crowds.

Head to KL Tower for city views
After Aquaria, make your way to KL Tower on Bukit Nanas.
KL Tower offers two main viewing areas. The enclosed Observation Deck sits 276 metres above ground and provides city views through large windows. Higher up, the open-air Sky Terrace offers clearer, unobstructed views from 300 metres. Visitors can also experience the Glass Box, a glass-floored viewing area designed for photographs.

To make your KL Tower visit easier:
- Plan around the day’s sunset time. If you want both daylight and evening views, schedule your entry about 60–90 minutes before sunset. Allow extra time for security checks, lift queues and photographs.
- Choose the viewing area before booking. The Observation Deck is enclosed and better suited to uncertain weather. The open-air Sky Terrace offers unobstructed views but may close during poor weather.
- Use the free uphill shuttle. A complimentary shuttle runs from KL Tower’s main gate to the lobby every 15 minutes between 8:30 am and 10:00 pm, subject to weather. This avoids the steep walk up Bukit Nanas.
