Travel Tour By Car For Rent In The Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates (that’s the country name, and no Dubai is NOT a country alone!) is an amazing place that combines unique culture, stunning nature, deep history and the most advanced technologies. This is an incredibly authentic place with its own special energy, so it’s worth coming to the Arab Emirates whenever possible!

Traveling around this region by a rented car is a great way to explore it in a convenient and independent mode. Here are some tips to help you organize the perfect rented auto tour!

Choosing a car

The first and most important thing you should decide on is the model of a car. When choosing a rented car, you should take into account the number of passengers, the amount of luggage and the intended route.

Keep in mind that the roads in the Emirates are well equipped, so you do not need to take an SUV if you plan to travel only in cities. However, if you plan to visit remote areas with deserts, it is definitely worth renting a powerful SUV – the Cadillac Escalade for rent will be an excellent option. Such a car will ensure your comfort and safety during your trip.

As has already been noted, it is worth paying maximum attention to the number of passengers and travelers’ luggage. If there are few passengers, then a small, compact car will save your budget and will be a comfortable, easy option for movement. And if you have 4 or more people, you can comfortably sit in a spacious car. Consider a minivan rental. Minivans, like small houses for travelers, will become a comfortable space for a long journey.

Road rules

Obviously, a travel tour by rented car assumes that the traveler will have to adjust to local rules. Local rules differ little from the generally accepted ones, but it is worth studying them in advance.

The United Arab Emirates has a system of fines for speeding. On small streets – 40 km/h, on main roads – 60-80 km/h, on motorways – 100-120 km/h. However, mostly the speed limit is regulated by signs. It is forbidden both to exceed the speed limit and to drive slower than the set limit, if there is one on this section of the road. According to statistics, 90% of fines for tourists arise in connection with speeding. So, for example, exceeding up to 10 km/h will cost 400 AED (about 109$). While driving slower than the specified speed limit, you can get a fine of 200-400 AED (about 54-109$).

Just like in many other developed tourist countries, there are fines for exceeding the parking period.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the code of all traffic rules in order to avoid unpleasant surprises and unnecessary expenses. Use a GPS navigator or mobile apps to set routes and avoid traffic jams in the most convenient way.

Climate

You’ve probably thought about the fact that the climate in the United Arab Emirates can play a key role in your trip. And this is the real truth! In summer, weather conditions in the Emirates can affect your well-being and even your health. If you plan to travel to the Emirates in the summer, plan trips in the early morning or late evening. Choose a car for rent with air conditioning. Do not forget to take plenty of water, sunscreen and hats with you in the car. In modern cities, there are many air-conditioned rooms where you can relax from the heat.

Safety and culture

The United Arab Emirates is a country with deep roots and stable traditional views of the world. This is definitely not the place to stir up political or religious disputes. One way or another, you will definitely come into contact with the locals and immerse yourself in their culture. Observe the norms of communication. Be careful on the road and take into account local cultural rules.

Respect local traditions and customs, especially in public places and religious buildings. Do not forget to follow the safety rules and leave valuables in a safe place.

Returning a car

Before you rent the car to the owner, evaluate the overall condition of the car. Whether there are any scratches or other changes in the rented car.

It is best to record a video review before renting a car in order to record the current condition of the car for rent and have video evidence for the car rental service. Of course, cases of conflict are rare, but it is always worth protecting yourself.

Let these life hacks become working tools and useful recommendations for you that will help make your trip to the Arab Emirates impressive and unforgettable!
