When some people think of amazing beaches they envision far-off locales. Of course, there are incredible beaches all over the world, but we have some that are worth bragging about right here in the United States. If you’re a beach-lover, you’ll want to give these locations a second look!
1. La Jolla Shores Park
We’re starting out with a stunner on the West Coast.This beach near San Diego has a secluded feel thanks to sandstone cliffs that surround it. The water is well-known for being gentle, which makes it perfect for all kinds of watersports, as well as families who want to play in the surf.
Best time of year to visit: Any!
2. Kitty Hawk Beach
A part of the Outer Banks in North Carolina, Kitty Hawk beach is considered the best of them all. The waves are the largest of any of the northern beaches, making it a popular location for surfing. One of the best things about the Outer Banks is the oceanfront rentals that are available! You’ll love the outstanding views!

3. Driftwood Beach
This unique beach is located on Jekyll Island, Georgia. It’s a popular location for photographers who can get amazing shots of the remains of water oak and pine trees scattered all around. It’s really a sight to behold, whether you’re looking from behind the lens or not!

4. Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve
You didn’t think you’d get all the way through this list without having Hawaii show up, did you? This bay on the island of Oahu used to be a volcanic crater, but now it’s one of the most beautiful spots in the country, as well as being a mecca for snorkeling enthusiasts.
Best time of year to visit: All year round.
5. Siesta Beach
No list of the best beaches would be complete without this Siesta Key, Florida stunner. It’s not only the best beach in the country, it’s also considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Turquoise water and white powder sand should move this beach to the top of your “must-see” list!
Best time of year to visit: Anytime.
6. Santa Monica State Beach
This beach is home to the famous Santa Monica Pier and is located between Los Angeles and Malibu. When you go, you need to take in the jaw-dropping view of the ocean from the bluffs of the Pacific Palisades. It stretches for three miles and boasts warm water for swimming and other watersports.

7. Race Point Beach
Provincetown, Massachusetts is home to this Cape Cod beach. Other than the stunning views, one of the major attractions to this location is the whale watching. It’s also known for being sunny most of the time!
Best time of year to visit: June through August
8. Henderson Beach State Park
Nature trails and boardwalks are a part of this Destin, Florida beach. It’s located on the Gulf side of the state, so the water is pristine, gentle, and warm. Another unique feature is the dunes that are covered with sea oats.
Best time of year to visit: All year round.
