Perth is glorified by approximately 3200 hours of sunshine each year making it one of the most attractive destinations to visit in the Southern Hemisphere.
Despite being the capital of Western Australia, and home to nearly 1.9million people, the city is surprisingly laid back. With its unrivalled weather, pristine beaches and relaxed vibe it’s no wonder that millions of tourists flock there each year.

The Ashes 3rd Test
13th-17th December 2013
Australia will be looking to get their own back following a 3-0 series defeat last summer when they take on England at one of the most charming and infamous grounds in world cricket this December.
The WACA is regarded as one of the quickest and bounciest wickets in the sport, and the upcoming Ashes test match promises to be an intriguing battle between the likes of James Anderson and Michael Clarke who will slog it out in the name of the historic little urn.
On the 27th January the whole nation is set to celebrate everything Australian. Arrive in the city to the familiar smell of ‘shrimp on the barbie’ and join in the festivities with the locals.
Just an hour down the road from Perth, Mandurah is a great place to start celebrations of the national holiday. A flotilla parade travels through the beautiful Mandjar Bay; whilst on land, the popular markets open their stalls with a whole host of trinkets.
Head back into the city later on and be amazed by the impressive firework display that illuminates the night sky before you call time on this wonderful experience.
The Big Day Out
2nd February 2014
Held across five cities in Australia and New Zealand, Big Day Out brings some of the biggest and best names in music to Perth’s Claremont Showgrounds.
Alongside Pearl Jam, Blur and Arcade Fire, the festival also offers the chance for some of Australia’s most talented up-and-coming artist to take the stage in front of up to 40, 000 people.
The Crown Perth Entertainment Complex

Whether you want to relax at the luxury spa or watch an award winning show, The legendary Crown Perth has something on offer for everyone.
In 2014, the venue will host the prestigious ANZPT card festival and you could even take part yourself by checking out the tournament rules and finding out how to qualify to make your trip even more memorable.
Away from the bright lights of the entertainment hall there’s also an 18-hole golf course and an award-winning range of restaurants and bars.
Revelation Perth International Film Festival
Now approaching its 20th birthday, the Revelation Perth International Film Festival has become one of the most respected independent film festivals on the circuit.
Starting in the basement of the Greenwich Club, it has evolved into a major event in the city and receives around 400 entries each year. Alongside screenings, the festival also features special events such as Q&A’s, art exhibitions and musicians playing live scores.
