You can save money on accommodation, food, and other expenses by following some of our recommendations below.

Teach English in Japan

There is lots to do in Japan, however it is known for being an expensive country. If you are fluent in English, you can visit without having to spend a fortune. There are opportunities to teach English, especially to children. The jobs can range from having to teach one to a couple of hours per day. There are long-term jobs, which are perfect if you want more time to explore Japan or if you want to save up for the rest of your holiday.

In most instances, you will be working for up to 60 hours per week and you will have a day off, although this will still depend on the specific job roles.

If you are studying medicine, why not consider doing your internship in India? This is the perfect opportunity to explore its rich history and culture while also being able to harness your skills in the medical field. As an intern, you will be exposed to the country’s healthcare system and you will also be able to put your knowledge into the test. Depending on the internship programme where you can qualify, it can be inclusive of food, transportation, and accommodation, among other perks.

Hostel Job in Thailand

For young backpackers who would love to explore the beaches and culture of Thailand, applying for a job in a hostel is a wonderful opportunity. There are many jobs that you can possibly take, such as working on the front desk. Typically, they employ part-time workers for late night work to accommodate guests who are checking in at midnight. If the latter is boring, you can also apply as a party captain. You have one simple job – to keep the guests happy. Whether they are doing a pub-crawl or just drinking at the hostel’s bar, you just need to make everyone feel hyped and make sure guests will have a good time.

Volunteer with Animals in Africa

Gifted with a diversity of wildlife, it is easy to understand why Africa is an excellent choice for volunteering with animals, such as conservation of elephants, among others. This is an exciting opportunity to explore a new country while also being able to do something that is meaningful. You can be a ranger or a researcher, depending on what is best suited for your skills. Whilst you are in Africa, make sure you go on a safari to see a whole variety of animals.
