How To Plan Your Budapest Pub Crawl

Budapest is one of those ideal destinations with a rich history and truly unique culture. The stunning skyline, dreamy atmosphere, famous landmarks, and countless pubs make the Hungarian capital greatly appreciated by tourists. It has something for everyone.

Nightlife in Budapest is vibrant, and it can become even more awesome if you are with the right people. Don’t worry! With a good pub crawl Budapest, you enjoy the night to the fullest with fun-loving tourists and locals.

Whether you are staying for a month or a week in Budapest, a pub crawl can help you make new friends, discover the city, share drinks, and make your visit to Budapest a truly memorable one.

Things to know for a Pub Crawl in Budapest

Before you kick-start your pub-hopping adventure, here are some basic rules that you should know. They can help you have an unforgettable and exciting pub crawl in Budapest.

Have a plan

Though the decisions taken during pub-crawling tours are mostly spontaneous, it is always good to have a plan. Keep an idea of the number of drinks you are going to have, what type they are, the pubs you are visiting, and a proper exit plan if you end up too drunk to continue. Many pubs and bars have dress codes and other special activities. It is also better to know them beforehand.

Don’t forget to eat

Pub crawls in Budapest usually last for more than 7 hours. If you are thinking about surviving on just alcohol during the time period, then it is a bad idea. It is very important that you make sure to have some stopovers for food. It will give you a good base before you start getting drunk. Try not to eat too much, as it can affect your momentum during the pub crawl.

Keep up the momentum

Once everything is planned and set for the pub crawl, the next important thing to consider is to maintain the momentum. Make sure that you are not staying too much in one pub or bar. Try to have only one or two drinks from a particular pub. This will make it easy for you to maintain your pace and avoid getting too much drunk before finishing the crawl.

Be prepared for changes

Pubs in Budapest can get crowded at times. So, a big group of people storming in can make things even worse. If you feel like the people at any of these pubs are not comfortable having you, then skip and move to the next pub on your list. Sticking around and trying to make things work out is only going to cause chaos. Always remember that you are doing this to have fun.

Be nice to everyone

Try to be friendly with the people inside and outside your group. You have a high probability of becoming friends with the people in your pub crawl group. But, that doesn’t mean that you should go messing with people outside to group. They can react very badly to you and it will ruin your night or the entire bar crawl. So, be nice to everyone and make some new friends.

Best places to visit on your Budapest Pub Crawl

Budapest has some of the best nightlife spots in Europe and none is more popular than the iconic spots.

Racskert

Imagine partying in a car parking. Not so fascinating, right?! Racskert takes this concept and turns it into an incredible experience. This popular nightclub is actually a car parking that got remolded into a nightclub. With a great festive ambiance and graffiti-covered walls, this local party place is the best place in Budapest to enjoy great booze and mouth-watering food on a budget.

360 Bar

This exotic rooftop cafe offers a panoramic view of the entire city. However, it is not the only highlight the cafe offers. You can enjoy a wonderful variant of good food and extensive wine here. It is undoubtedly one of the best places for you to enjoy the magnificent nightlife of Budapest in all its glory.

Otkert Club

If you want to add an edge to your pub crawl, then Otkert Club is the place. The centrally located nightclub is built from a 19th-century building and is now home to some of the most colorful parties and themed events in all of Budapest.

Sparty

Sparty is known for its weekend parties. The bright dance floors, loud music, and thermal baths make it truly a one-of-a-kind party spot. It has a completely unique vibe and a different nightlife atmosphere altogether. The weekend parties are usually on Saturdays, starting around 10 pm and lasting till 3 am in the morning.

Doboz

This quirky nightclub in Budapest will give its visitors the feeling of walking into a maze box. Though the vibrant lights and grooving music adds charm to the place, it is the interior of Doboz that is truly fascinating. You will have a really awesome party experience at this brilliant nightclub.
