If you love to travel, take beautiful photos and share your experiences with a community of like-minded explorers then Bimble is a social media channel which can greatly enhance how you travel. What Bimble have created is a simple way to create, share and explore custom-made lists which brings together a community of fun seekers who are on the hunt for new experiences. For those who aren’t aware of Bimble, let’s take a look at exactly why this is website is one which will add something special to how you travel and how you share your own personal adventures.
Setting Up a Profile and Creating Lists
The real charm of this website is the simplicity which it brings to both the creation of a personal profile and lists. To create your profile simply register with your name, email address and your location and you’ll be set up in a matter of seconds, and ready to create your first list.
The ease of use of this site is shown once again when you are looking to create your own list, hit the create button at the top right hand corner, give your list a name and then start adding locations by simply searching for the name of the spot which you’ve found. As you search, the map will find the place that you are looking for, select it and add it. Add as many photos to your list as you like, these can be your own or those which others have shared on the site, then add a quick description of the place on your list so that everyone knows what they can expect to find. The website is mobile ready as well which means you can get your lists and photos online, on-the-go, in no time at all.
Sharing Your Experiences
What I really love about the listing process is how specific you can make it, to share those rare gems and cool finds which you have made. Perhaps you have been discovering some of the best bakeries in Paris, or some cool experiences Mexico City, you can upload all of your photos of these spots and geotag them on your list for others to enjoy, check out this list I made with ease on the site. Using Bimble you can both discover cool and quirky spots, great restaurants or trendy bars, or share what you have found on your own adventures.
Sharing in this way can also boost your own profile if you own a blog, and you can even embed your lists into your blog so that your users can visit the places which you talk about on your site.
Clearly the aim of Bimble is to have its users map out the world and all of those fantastic things which can be found in each destination. Through this community-based approach you can find lists within many places which fit with those particular activities and places that you like to do and see when you travel. No matter whether you like to find weird stuff, great museums, hidden bars, great photo spots or high end restaurants which are off the beaten track, you can both create and explore these things on the Bimble website. Once you have shared your list it will be available for all to see on the website, complete with map pins which are added automatically, and of course your very own description of what you are sharing and what others can expect to find.
Bimble is such a wonderful idea for people who love to explore, either in their own home town or whilst they are on their travels, it is also the perfect medium to share what you have found with the world.
I love being a part of this community and I use the site whenever I go somewhere new. I also get such a kick out of giving others ideas on where to go and what to do, the question for you is, when are you going to come and join us?
