The Perfect Chiang Mai Staycation; Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai – MGallery review

Jaa and I were stressed .We had just moved from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Building our dream house had proven to be a lot more difficult than we thought! We needed a break. But we didn’t want to go far. So I suggested a Chiang Mai staycation. We had had success with our Bangkok staycation at the lovely Siam hotel last year, so let’s give it another crack. This time at the Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai.

Nestled in the heart of Northern Thailand, this charming city is filled with stunning temples, delicious street food, and a vibrant nightlife that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning traveler. But what truly makes a Chiang Mai staycation truly unforgettable is the Veranda High Resort.

The Ideal Location; Where is the Veranda High resort?

Located just 20 minutes or so from the city center, the Veranda High resort is the perfect staycation point for all your Chiang Mai adventures.

As a tourist, whether you’re looking to explore the ancient temples, sample the delicious street food, or simply take a stroll through the bustling markets, everything is just a short walk or tuk-tuk ride away.

Or like us, to just chill and recover, the Veranda was perfect.

Chiang Mai’s best swimming pool?

The Veranda is a perfect 5* hotel, but before I go one, let me just say that the swimming pool here deserves a note. It’s the most beautiful pool in Chiang Mai. An infinity pool looking over the mountains. It’s GORGEOUS.

You can buy a day pass here too if budget is an issue, go for it.

I spent a whole morning working from here, paradise!

Unbeatable Comfort and Style

The Veranda Chiang Mai Hotel is more than just a place to rest your head, it’s a luxurious retreat that will make you never want to leave. From the moment you step into the stylish lobby, you’ll be transported to a world of ultimate comfort and sophistication. Each of the hotel’s rooms is designed with your ultimate comfort in mind, with plush bedding, air conditioning, and all the modern amenities you need to feel right at home.

Even the lobby is breath-taking. But it’s the grounds that really sell it. Near the city, but lost in the jungle, perfect for a staycation. Allowing you to feel like your miles away (without actually having to travel miles!)

A Foodie’s Paradise

Chiang Mai is known for its amazing street food, but there’s no need to venture out when you’re staying at the Veranda. With a range of delicious dining options to choose from, including a chic rooftop bar, a poolside restaurant, and a cozy lounge area, there’s something to satisfy every craving. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, a quick lunch, or a romantic dinner, the Veranda High Resort has you covered.

Their thai fusion ‘RABIANG CHA RESTAURANT’ is perfection. Set in an old style rice paddy, on a stilted wooden building, it’s like going back in time.

Pampering at its Finest

After a long day of exploring Chiang Mai, there’s no better way to unwind than with a spa treatment. And at the Veranda, you’ll find some of the best spa services in town. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing massage, a rejuvenating facial, or a restorative body wrap, the hotel’s skilled therapists will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Unmatched Service

The Veranda High Resort is more than just a place to stay, it’s a true home away from home. From the moment you check in, you’ll be treated like royalty by the friendly and professional staff. Whether you need help with directions, recommendations for the best local restaurants, or just a little extra attention, the hotel’s staff is always happy to go the extra mile to make your stay as memorable and comfortable as possible.

The Rooms (and prices)

We stayed in the standard room, and it was ideal. Cheap (a tad under $100!), but with access to the pool and views of the rice paddies. Lovely.

The Perfect Place to Unwind

With its ideal location, luxurious amenities, delicious dining options, and world-class spa services, the Veranda High Resort is the perfect place to escape from the stress of everyday life. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family, you’ll find everything you need to create unforgettable memories in Chiang Mai.

Top-Tips for your Chiang Mai Staycation:

  1. Make sure to grab a coffee at nearby ‘Big Tree’. A super local (and cheap!) place where the tables are in the river!
  2. Either hike, or drive, to the gorgeous new white temple opposite Veranda’s infinity pool. Or join the daily walk with the Veranda guide here. Ban pong Temple. It’s beautiful!
  3. There’s a lovely little local bar called BarDry walking distance from the hotel, go grab a drink.
