This tour consists of a five-hour trip by bus, which, three times a week, goes across 13 different neighborhoods: Palermo, Núñez, Monserrat, Retiro, Villa del Parque, Villa Crespo, Barracas, Boedo, Flores, Belgrano, Caballito, San Telmo and La Boca.

The vehicle is provided with an audiovisual system, that shows interviews to different prominent characters of the Argentinian soccer and tells the history of the emblematic clubs that are included in the tour: Boca Juniors, River Plate, Argentinos, Huracán and San Lorenzo.

The Clubs and Neighborhoods

The identity of the neighborhoods and therefore of the city, is defined by the clubs, which are very important social centers for people. However, it is key to mention that, in Argentina, the greatest soccer players of all times, like Diego Armando Maradona and Lionel Messi, had their origins playing street soccer, that in this country is usually called “picado”.

Besides being a wonderful and attractive place, La Boca neighborhood has been essential for soccer, and this sport wouldn’t have been the same without it. This was the district where Boca Juniors and River Plate were founded, the most beloved teams in the region, changing soccer in Argentina and all around the world forever.

The Museums

In Buenos Aires, the main soccer clubs have a great history, with more than 100 years of trajectory. Luckily, there are some sports museums that you can visit to relive the most iconic moments of the past.

In these places, the visit consists of an interactive experience in which each visitor will be able to feel the passion of every memory thanks to the detailed exhibitions and multimedia techniques. Now, there are four soccer museums available: Boca Junior’s museum, “Pasión Boquense”; River Plate’s Museum, Argentinos Juniors Museum and San Lorenzo Museum, “Jacobo Urso”.

Without a doubt, the eternal and most famous rivalry between soccer clubs is River Plate vs Boca Juniors, whose match is known as “Superclásico”.
