London is one of the best cities on the planet. I understand that the weather can be a bit dodgy at certain times throughout the year but when the sun is shining I think it’s difficult to name a better city than the capital of England. Each year I spend about a month living it up and enjoying everything that London has to offer, every time I go back I find new things to enjoy – it is absolutely impossible to get bored in this city!

If you haven’t been to London yet then you need to get booking your trip there asap! Here are some top things you can do when you’re there, I guarantee that all of these options ensure you and your group will have a time to remember. And don’t forget to check the hourly weather as it might rain unexpectedly!

World Class Sports

I’m sure there are plenty of people reading this who are big fans of Premier League football, if that’s you then you need to watch a game when you’re in town. There’s Chelsea, West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal that call London home, so if you’re there during the season the likely hood is that they’ll be a game on. Wimbledon is also another top sporting event not to miss, if you’re there when the tournament is on then head on over to the famous tennis club – don’t worry if you can’t get a ticket because plenty of people watch on the grassy hills outside on big screens.

Catch A Show

I have to admit that I wasn’t really that keen on heading to the West End to catch a show, that’s before I actually and after I did I was hooked. London is home to some of the most famous shows in the world. The tickets don’t come cheap but they’re worth every penny. I can highly recommend Phantom Of The Opera and Les Miserables – watching those shows were some of the best nights I had in London.

Hit The Town

If there’s one thing that London knows how to do well it’s have a party. From traditional proper English pubs to glitzy nightclubs, the city has it all. You can listen to some of the best up and coming bands in Camden Town or head to the Grand Royale Hotel London outside Hyde Park for some world class cocktails. I recommend asking the concierge at your hotel for a place to head to, he’ll know which places are the hottest in town at the time you visit.

Have you been to London or are you living there? I’d love to hear all about your tips, tales and experiences. I think it’s awesome when we, as a travel community, can share first hand knowledge to help others plan the best trip possible.
