You guys know one day I want to travel around the world in 80 days with no flights to raise awareness money for Parkinson’s. I wrote about it in Bucket List blog.

In that blog I shared my super vague plan is to travel from London through Europe by train, cross ‘the Stans’ or take the trans Siberian train to China, boat to US or Central America, and then cross the US by bus before boating back to Europe.

Well it turns out that my partner for an awesome holiday travel sweepstakes I’m about to share with you (spoiler— they are giving away a drone and 360 cameras), actually makes it possible to compare the cost of traveling by bus, plane and train.

Look at this search for a trip from Philadelphia to NYC on On the left you can check off which transit modes you want to use, and the “Best offers” are in the center. $10 for a bus versus $106 for a plane?! This bucket list trip will be pretty decent!

I can totally use to search for the best transit mode during my bucket list trip. I only wish they had camels and cargo boats as a search option 🙂 They’re one of the top five travel comparison sites in Europe, so they’ll come in handy for my trip legs from London to Paris to Rome and beyond too!

Definitely check out Liligo when you’re planning your next trip— with or without flights!

Okay, now onto the drone! wants to make sure their travelers not only find the most affordable routes available, but that they can create awesome travel memories too, so they’re running a holiday Sweepstakes and giving away 15 Insta360 Nanos & one DJI Mavic Pro drone! You guys can see from my travel videos that there is nothing like having a drone for making great travel memories!

The sweepstakes is open to US residents and is super easy to enter: click here, and enter by signing up for their newsletter or by sharing the contest on Facebook or Twitter. You can enter multiple times too. Be sure to check out the “viral share” entry option. Every time someone enters through your link, you’ll be reentered! With 16 prizes and the possibility for lots of entries, that’s a lot of chances to win!

The sweepstakes started this week, Monday, December 12th, and ends on December, 26th, 2016. All winners will be contacted immediately by email so that you can get your prize for your 2017 travels!

With 16 winners and drones and cameras as prizes (come on!) this is one of the best sweepstakes I’ve seen, so I’m really pushing you all to enter. Imagine what you would do with a drone next year? Again, here’s the sweepstakes link.

Also, by following you’ll have access to great travel tips for the coming year.

I’m happy that a site out there is thinking about how adventurous travelers really think— the types of transit options they need and the kinds of gadgets they want!

Thanks Liligo! And remember to enter the sweepstakes here now!
