A road trip across the USA is on most bucket lists that I have been told about. It is such a huge country which means that each state is different from the next and with so many world class attractions to see along the way, it is no surprise that a road trip is a dream holiday.
There are many different modes of transport these days but travelling around a country by car is only the way to see it properly. You don’t get to see much if you’re in and out of airports taking domestic flights. If you go by bus you can’t stop off everywhere you see something of interest and you have to stick to the set schedule. Taking a taxi across a country just isn’t a realistic option, even if you have all the money in the world you don’t want to be shelling out a ridiculous amount of money to get from A to B. When you have your own vehicle you have freedom. Freedom to stop when you want, travel when you want, choose your route and much more.
So now you’ve decided you want to take the road trip you’ve always dreamed of you need to start thinking about finding the right car for you. There are so many options and platforms to choose from it can sometimes be overwhelming about how you’ll find the wheels for your trip.
To make things much easier for all you guys reading this, I have done extensive research, read views and checked out rankings on Trustpilot, to bring you the best car rental sites available. They all operate in the US and I’ve ranked them from 1-5 below.
1- Viajemos.com 9.3/10
The reviews for this company are nearly flawless. Past customers commented how they found the information provided to be spot on, the booking process quick, the staff well trained and extremely helpful. Many said that this company’s pricing was the best they found on the internet.
2- Miles car rental 9.2 / 10
This company ranks so highly because renting a car with them comes with many bonuses not offered by competitors. Here are some of the bonuses you can expect to enjoy if you rent with them; they add insurance at no extra cost and also offer car rentals to drivers under 25 years old with out increasing the price – this is something many other companies simply do not do.
3- Priceline 8.8 / 10
Priceline is well known for offering many services for holidays. One of these services being car rentals. One of the things they do offer is free cancelation with some bookings but not all. After reading reviews the average response to their service was good.
4- CarRentals 8.3 / 10
Car Rentals has made partnerships with a variety of well know dealers, they offer their service around the globe in places like Sydney and Tokyo. People like them because they have a big variety of vehicles to select from.
5- Rentalcars 7 / 10
Rentalcars, like many others in the list, has made a number of partnerships with various companies. People like the functionality of their website because it is easy to use, has many language options and you are also able to create your own account which means you’re able to see your history of car rentals.
I hope you find the information above useful, I highly recommend that you try out numbers 1 & 2 before any others.
