Aromatherapy – How It’s Benefitting me And Why You Need It Too
During these testing times with the Covid-19 pandemic I have really started to look at how I take care of both my health, and using the free time to upgrade my apartment. Of course that means assessing our personal hygiene but there are many other things we can do to help ourselves, this includes taking care of our surroundings which could be your home, hotel or car. Seeing as we have to spend so much time at home these days it gives us the perfect opportunity to start making those small but essential changes that will have a positive impact on our lives.
I started with fixing up my home. After doing some research and getting advice from friends I learnt about aromatherapy. Realising it was something that could make a real difference, I looked in to oil diffusers and bought a quality mini nebulizing travel diffuser from Organic Aromas. I went for the travel option because as you guys know I travel most of the year, so when the world gets back to normal I’ll be able to take it on the road with me.
I’m sure there are many of you reading this who aren’t too familiar with aromatherapy or oil diffusers, I wasn’t until a few weeks ago. So I thought it’d be a good idea to explain what it is, the benefits and why I’m really happy I went with Organic Aromas.
What’s An Oil Diffuser?
An oil diffuser spreads essential oils over the area where it is located. It diffuses the therapeutic smell from the oils throughout your car, hotel room, yoga class or home. There are loads of different types of oil diffusers, I went for the nebulizing diffuser, so let’s take a look at that next.
How About Nebulizing Diffusers?
Nebulizing diffusers are seen by the majority of experts as the best way to diffuse essential oils. They offer the most effective way for essential oils to be spread throughout your space. They have an air supply which blows over a small compartment of essential oils, this then results in a vacuum which lifts the oils up and disperses them in to the air, they come out in what can be described as a mist. People like them because this process doesn’t dilute the oils or alter them in anyway, so they’re dispersed as a whole in to surrounding air.
Why Should You Get One?
– Good For Health
When the nebulizing diffuser releases the essential oils in to the air, the antimicrobials mix with airborne pathogens – they can get rid of them before they have the chance to have a negative impact on your health. There are quite a few essential oils which you can buy to help prevent you catching a cold and at the sometime boost your immune system.
– Better Sleep
If you choose oils such as lavender or sandalwood they can help you to relax and also have a better night’s sleep. Getting proper sleep is essential because without it we can weaken our immune system, become less focused and all put on weight (which I don’t need any help doing during the current lockdown).
– Improve Your Mood
Anxiety is something which I do wrestle with from time to time, aromatherapy is a great way to try and keep it at bay. Lavender has been awesome for me, the reason for that is because it lowers stress and helps me to relax both of which improve my overall mood.
– Freshen Up Your Surroundings
Let’s be honest, I’m sure all of us could do with freshening up our home, car or other space, from time to time. This has never been as relevant as it is now because we’re spending so much of our time inside. With us stuck at home keeping the air fresh and smelling good will have a huge impact on our day. Don’t go for those nasty air fresheners you see, choose essential oils for a more healthy small throughout your home.
Why Did I Choose Organic Aromas?
The simple answer to this question is because they’re the best and miles ahead of their competition. The mobile mini nebulizing diffuser was recommend by a couple of travel buddies who are super health conscious, I’m really happy I listened to them! After using it at home for a few weeks I can’t recommend it enough, it will definitely be coming with me when ever I travel and always on when I’m at home. So what makes it special and the best out there?
- It’s so easy to use and being wireless it couldn’t be more convenient. You can charge it using a USB cable and once fully charge yit will work for up to 20 hours.
- It’s the perfect size for travelling, it only weighs 440 grams. I’ll be using in hotel rooms, my car, whilst I’m working out and any other place you can think of.
- I love the way it operates – it’s on for 2 minutes then off for 1, this cycle continues for 2 hours. After 2 hours it will switch itself off, so you don’t have to keep an eye on it or worry about falling asleep.
- Depending on my mood I can choose the amount of scent that it disperses, there are 3 settings; low, medium and high.
- It’s affordable. I was surprised to see that it cost under a $100 because I would happily have paid more. The positive effect that is has on my surroundings is worth so much more.
