The United States is one of the most interesting places to visit, especially when you consider the huge number of states and things to see there. Each of these is unique, which makes it one of my favourite places to visit. There are many common factors across the states, such as the language, but the cultures vary significantly. Each state has its own unique things to see, do, and eat. I thought it would be a great idea to talk about some of the states that you absolutely must visit at some point in your life. Arizona is one of those unique states that could best be described as a desert paradise. One of the biggest attractions is the Grand Canyon. Experiencing the amazing landforms in person is something that I will never forget. The shaping of the land by the powerful Colorado River over 6 million years has created one of the most fascinating landscapes on the entire planet!
Several cities in Arizona, such as Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Sedona, are also worth visiting. My personal favourite would have to be Phoenix. Once you find a great place to stay in Phoenix, you can go out and start exploring the many museums, hiking and biking trails, and big league sporting events. For me, Phoenix is the perfect combination of city and country.
It isn’t hard to see why California is so popular. It’s home to Los Angeles and San Francisco, two of the greatest cities in the United States, as well as an abundance of nature. California is the ideal road trip destination, and a car is the best way to explore the amazing coast, see the redwood forests or even make a short trip down to Mexico.
New York is home to the amazing New York City. One of the biggest and best cultural hubs in the nation, it’s renowned for its art scene and culinary culture. New York is also great for making a quick trip up to Canada, as it’s just so close. Aside from the Big Apple, Niagara Falls is the biggest attraction here. The huge falls are one of the wonders of the world that you absolutely must see. You can see the falls from the American or Canadian side, as they lie directly on the border between the two countries.
Florida is a varied place, and it’s one of my favourite states. It truly earns its reputation as the Sunshine State with sun and great weather all year round. I love that you can be in the relaxed and laid-back beach city of Miami, and in a few short hours, you can be in a more Southern country town like Tallahassee. You won’t want to miss Disney World, the Space Coast, the Florida Keys, or Everglades National Park either. Florida has it all!
There are so many states in the United States that I would encourage you to visit. My list above is just a taste of some of my favourites. If you do get the amazing opportunity to visit, simply get in a car and go. You will absolutely love it!
