The Perfect Cars to Use for a Malaysia Road Trip
Do you know the best way to maximise your trip to Malaysia? Take a road trip!
That’s right, a road trip in Malaysia is going to be one of the most epic activities you will be doing there. From visiting the Perhentian Islands, to the orangutans in Borneo to climbing Mount Kinabalu. You can go from the city centre up to Fraser’s Hill or at the Highlands in a couple of hours and enjoy old-world architecture, quaint French villages, and a breathtaking view of Langkawi, Penang, or Kuala Lumpur. The best part is you will not get bored because the terrain changes every now and then, so it is going to feel like you have been driving in different countries.
Of course, if you are going to have a round trip, the car you will be driving is half the battle that you need to take on. You can look at car lists you can rent like a 4×4 perfect for a Malaysia drive, but why limit yourselves there?
Here are a couple of suggestions for the best cars to take on an awesome Malaysian road trip.
A car perfect for big groups
The best road trips always happen when you are in a big group. But with groups come the need to choose a car that offers big space and a comfortable drive. Look no further than the Toyota Sienta in this case. It can fit up to 7 people in the car, so you would not have to drive separately. The Sienta also comes with cool features such as a voice controlled audio system, a touchscreen entertainment centre, and countless storage compartments. You will never have a problem with fitting your friends and your luggages if you choose the Sienta.
If you want to explore the city centre and all its hidden gems, you need a car that is not just stylish. You need a car that offers a powerful performance and the capability to be fuel efficient. The Toyota Camry Hybrid is one such car. It does not just seep style and appeal, its best highlight is the hybrid technology. It allows you to save more on petrol and it is good for the environment.
Another car choice would be the Toyota Vios. It is equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that makes switching between gears smooth. This is the perfect car for city centres that experiences changing traffic, like Kuala Lumpur.
Family road trips
The Toyota Innova might be the way to go for you if you are with your family. This car remains spacious, even if you have packed lots of bags for you and your kids. You will enjoy driving from Kuala Lumpur to neighbouring cities like Damansara, or even further on towards Penang and Langkawi. It is comfortable and energy efficient, so the Innova will not cause any kind of hassle.
Extreme sports road trips
If you are in Malaysia to experience all the adrenaline pumping activities it offers, the Toyota Rush will be your best friend. It has a 50:50 folding seat design that will allow you to fold and flatten all your seats. This is perfect if you have brought lots of equipment with you, plus it still offers that same comfortability when you drive.
You will notice that the car lists only one brand. That is because in Malaysia, the brand of choice is Toyota. So while you are there, why not choose a couple of Toyota’s best cars for your road trip? It does not matter if you are going to the beach, touring the city, or spending a unique road trip with your family – these cars have got you covered.
