Love it or love it, Thailand is undoubtedly one of the most popular destinations in the world. From the northern city of Chiang Mai to the lush province of Krabi in the south, Thailand’s charm and energy will sweep you off your feet and fill your vacation with unlimited excitement. It is a magical wonderland with plenty of fun-filled adventures waiting for you and your friends to discover and enjoy. If you are planning a trip to Thailand with your friends, then here are some awesome things that you should really try out.

Pai

Go Island hopping

Thailand has more than 300 islands and visiting at least a few of these gorgeous treasures is one of the most amazing things you can do. Pick an island and plan the island hopping from there. Koh Lipe is a popular and beautiful island to start from. The little island is known as the Maldives of Thailand, and it has some of the most mesmerizing sunsets and sunrises. You can watch them from its stunning white sand beaches. Don’t miss Ko Yao Noi, Hua Hin or Khao Lak too.

Get some soothing massage therapies

Nothing gets the body, mind, and soul more relaxed than a soothing massage. Thailand has many options when it comes to massage therapies. You and your friends can enjoy an authentic Thai massage from any of the numerous massage parlors across the country. Most of them have their options and rates displayed on the front itself. So, you will have an idea of what you are in for. Foot, back, and body are the common types of massages and they vary in duration as well.

Take a tuk-tuk ride

Tuk-tuks are practically Thailand’s national emblem and an authentic Thai experience worth trying out for most first-time visitors. Successor to the earlier cycle rickshaws, riding these open-air, three-wheeled vehicles is a fun-filled activity and an affordable mode of local transportation. Always try to fix a price for your ride before you get into a tuk-tuk. Also, take care of your belongings.

Visit the white temple

There is a picture-perfect White Temple located in the northern part of Thailand. Though it is popularly known as the White Temple, its real name is Wat Rong Khun. An artist purchased the temple when it was in terrible condition and restored it to its current state by spending more then $1 million US dollors. It is one of the main attractions of Thailand now and is a place worth visiting.

Street food tour

Your Thailand vacation isl not complete without trying out the delicious Thai cuisine. From the flavourful Thai green curry to the sweet mango sticky rice, Thailand is a foodies’ paradise filled with many flavorful food items. A few of the popular ones include rice noodles, egg noodles, wontons, and meatballs. Most of these will have the classic Thai flavor combination of fish sauce, lime juice, sugar and dried chilies.

Go to Safari World

Although Thailand is known for its wild parties and hangovers, the truth is that you cannot go all day with just that. Visiting Bangkok’s Safari World is one way to escape from all the parties and nightclubs. It is a fantastic zoo with two section. The first section is an open zoo called Safari Park and the second is a Leisure Park that has numerous attractions including, a stunt show and a jungle cruise.

Visit a floating market

The floating markets in Bangkok are full of fresh fruit and cooked food items. So, it is better to skip lunch before visiting these markets. There are many floating markets across the country and a popular one is in Damnoen Saduak. It is located about 60 miles away from the city of Bangkok. Another popular floating market is the one in Khlong Lat Mayom.

Make New Friends

Thailand is known as the land of smiles for a reason. Warm, friendly and always welcoming. So many people come here and find love. And many come specifically for Thai ladyboys of course. The ‘third gender’ has been more accepted in the West as of late, but it’s been a mainstay in Thailand for over a century.

Go diving

The Thai islands offer the best diving spots ever. All the islands will have at least one dive shop. Most of the dive sites have beautiful coral reefs and abundant marine life. If you are lucky, you will be seeing some whale sharks and manta rays along with smaller fish and critters.

The Reclining Buddha

Wat Pho is a Buddhist temple complex located in the Phra Nakhon district of Bangkok. It’s one of the best things to do in Bangkok (aside from the best bars in Bangkok of course!). The ancient temple is home to the reclining Buddha, a 15 meters tall and 46 meters long huge statue covered with gold leaves. You will also find 108 bowls representing the 108 activities that Buddha finished on his way to becoming perfect.
