In Emerald Cove, steep canyon walls on both sides make it hard to access. The way sunlight hits the green algae in this cove; this fantastic natural phenomenon turns the water a vibrant emerald green which we can assume is how they got the idea for its name.

Clark County Wetland Park
Clark County Westland Park is just 10 miles away from the strip, on the city’s outer edge. The city and nature collide in this park at the Las Vegas Wash, an urban river formed by the preexisting oasis and urban runoff from the city’s golf courses. /
The highlight of Clark County is a 14-mile multiuse trail known as the Westland loop. Westland loop is the favorite place for hikers, joggers, cyclists, and dog walkers who visit this park.
Though the river runs alongside, wash also serves as a natural water filter before it goes to Lake Mead, 12 miles downstream.
