It won’t be an exaggeration to say no sports events dominate the American entertainment sector like the Super Bowl does. The event occurs on the first Sunday of February, and the day is considered an unofficial national holiday. Every year the game takes place in front of a massive audience-packed stadium shouting for their team. This year’s Super Bowl will be held in Tampa, Florida on February 7, inside Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, Super Bowl is the most-watched television program of the year and the most buzzed one. Everyone anticipates who will win, how will be the glamorous half-time entertainment and the parties take place across the country. Amid the buzz, Betway brings its own Super Bowl All-time team formed by the best performers of the NFL dynasty.

If you have the opportunity to choose your own Super Bowl team, who will you choose as your favorites? The Betway team has the apparent choice—Tom Brady—as their quarterback. This fantastic performer bagged six Lombardi trophies over nine Super Bowl appearances. As running back, they have Franco Harris with the fame to win back to back four Super Bowls for the Steelers, and Emmitt Smith with the highest average rushing yards of all time.

For the positions of wide receiver, they have the star Lynn Swann and Jerry Rice. On the other hand, we see at the defensive end L.C Greenwood, famous for his ‘Steel Curtain’ defense for the Steelers, and Charles Haley, the five-time Super Bowl winner like Tom Brady. The defensive tackle consists of Willie Davis and Justin Tuck with massive sack numbers to back them up.  This fire-cracker team surely will be fun to watch, but all the hype is for the Tampa Bay action to kick off.

Though the excitement is at the peak, things will be slightly different this year due to the pandemic. Santiago Corrada, CEO of Visit Tampa Bay says, “Various events connected to the Super Bowl have been canceled with the exception of popular fan experience, the NFL Super Bowl Experience, which will take place at large outdoor venues in downtown Tampa with timed, reservation-based ticket entry and limited capacities.” Raymond James Stadium is going to be filled by 22,000 audiences, one-third of its actual capacity. Among them, 7,500 seats are reserved for vaccinated healthcare workers who the NFL granted free admission as gratitude for their relentless work during the pandemic.

Tampa hosted the Super Bowl previously and was flocked by thousands of people to Central Florida, extended their vacation, visiting theme parks and resorts. “Regretfully, it’s going to be different. With COVID, I would suspect we’ll only see hundreds of guests that would be here in Central Florida for the Super Bowl, says President and CEO of Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association Rich Maladecki. Unlike Maladecki, Orange County Comptroller Phil Diamond seems optimistic as he says, “Bucs fans are mostly living in Tampa, so you’re going to have a little less impact on tourism because of so many hometown fans.”

However, Tampa International Airport is ready to welcome the thousands of passengers who will arrive and depart on commercial flights, private and charter jets. The airport also has a webpage with information for Super Bowl visitors. Tampa airport is well equipped with an onsite COVID-19 testing facility.
