If you enjoy multiple travel destinations, you’ll certainly enjoy twin centre holidays! Multi-centre holidays give you extra of everything – food, people, experiences, and more!
USA
America is a huge country. If you have a chance to be traveling through the Appalachians, there is the Kentucky Derby. The Grand Canyon is also beautiful in May since the winter snows have typically melted, the weather is warming up, and the summer crowds haven’t yet clogged up all the viewing areas. The North Rim closed most of the winter and reopens for the new season on May 15. However, the northeast is hard to beat for the weather because Cape Cod, Pittsburgh, and New England as a whole all starting to bloom.
Nepal
It’s a good time to cross Base Camp off your bucket list if you’ve meant to. May is the best time to visit since the June rains haven’t yet reached the Himalayas, and the skies are often duck-egg blue with no sign of mist – it’s wonderful to enjoy the views after climbing a thousand feet for them, after all.
Greece
Visit Greece in June or August when the weather is ideal if you want long beach days and sun that will make your handbag tan. May is the best time to visit Crete, Santorini, Athens, and the Parthenon if you want to avoid the tourist crowds. The temperature should stay around 21°C (69°F), making it ideal for exploring Delos’ historic alleyways or bartering in a Mykonos market. The annual Rhodian Flower Festival, a colorful explosion that lights up the island for a few weeks at the end of the month, the Corfu Beach Festival, and May Day are additional events.
Morocco
Like every nation that may claim to have a portion of the Sahara, Morocco experiences torrid summers; while you might struggle, the camel won’t. With an average temperature of about 21°C (69°F), May is known as one of the best months to travel. This month, rivers erupt with life, flowers bloom across the nation, and spring meltwater from the High Atlas flows into the sea.
Italy
Italy experiences a summertime tourism boom similar to that of its Greek neighbor (June-August). But the wise travelers go in May. There are fewer people, flowers are growing on every available windowsill, and the temperature is just right for sightseeing at a pleasant 25°C (77°F). There may be a few showers early in the month, but if you travel after May 15, you can count on pleasant days and mild evenings.
Visit Tuscany for peaceful cellar door pit stops, Florence for the annual Festa del Grillo in Cascine Park (when vendors essentially unleash a horde of crickets on the city), or Rome for a Monti street café feast of in-season fava beans, tomatoes, and strawberries.
You won’t be surprised that many tourists would actually plan for a twin centre holidays trip to experience the best of both worlds from two destinations. If you have the means and the time, we highly recommend going for it!
